About the Fellowship:
SRCD Policy Fellows spend 1-2 years immersed in a U.S. federal agency, Congress, or a state agency, directly influencing policy changes that benefit children and their families. Fellows receive a highly competitive stipend, regular mentoring, professional development opportunities, and access to significant networking. Applicants must have a PhD in a relevant child development field by August 30, 2025, meet citizenship requirements, and be interested in child and family policy. It’s an experience that most of our alum tell us they’ve never had before or since their fellowship.
With almost 250 alumni over 30+ years, SRCD has been instrumental in placing fellows throughout the United States. Our alumni have become influential researchers in developmental science, senior staff at federal and state agencies, and leaders in philanthropic organizations.
