APC Fellows Program

The Association of Population Centers (APC) Fellows program is intended to:

    • Raise the profile and visibility of early-career population researchers;
    • Offer early-career researchers opportunities to develop skills in disseminating research; and
    • Build the cross-center population research community.

Activities include an invitation to give a talk at an APC research center; professional development sessions based on Fellow interests; and informal gatherings, both in-person at PAA and virtually, to build networks and community.

A cohort of 12 APC Fellows will be chosen annually. The APC Fellow Committee will randomly select 12 centers annually and each selected center will nominate one fellow from among their affiliates who have earned a Ph.D. within the last 10 years.

Centers will be notified that they have been selected to participate in December and identify their fellow by February. Those selected will be APC Fellows from July 1 to June 30.
